On the previous post, we’ve had discussed about tips on how to manage your negative emotions. As I said before, there are more tips you can try to apply in order to control yourself or in other case to manage the negative emotions you might get as living the daily life. And here are the tips.
When you are happen to have a conflict, learn to listen to the two sides of the conflict that you are in as if you were the mediator or the counselor. If you can listen and respond in this way you will bring peace and solutions to the conflict more quickly. The mediator’s point of view can look for the creative compromise that takes into account the limits and the needs of both parties. Therefore you will be wiser and this will give you clearer idea of the real problem. And therefore, give you better solution.
You can also try to take a playful attitude towards developing the skill of emotional self-control in high conflict situations. You could view maintaining self-control in a tense, angry conversation as an athletic feat. The more familiar you are to this kind of coping, the easier it will get next time you have it again.
When your you are happen to be so emotionally not well, you may want to wait a few days to cool down emotionally. When a situation makes you feel wild with intense feelings, such as rage, this is the best time just to get far from the problem first before face it again to clear it. As time passes, you will be able to be more objective about the issues and to sort out the truth about the situation more clearly.
Well, that are some tips I can convey you on how to manage negative emotion. One thing to be remember, it is very normal for us, human, to experience some unfavorable situations. And having negative emotions is also very normal. But you should remember that, we as human who have the capability to think rationally should not let the negative emotion take over our rational thought. Control your negative emotion and get along with people well.
